FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS CAR DETAILING?
A car wash might make your vehicle look clean, but a professional detail actually cleans it — inside and out.

Car detailing is a meticulous, skill-driven process using specialized tools, premium products, and on-the-job expertise. At JD’s Detail, we go far beyond soap and water. Sure, anyone can grab a bucket and vacuum and make a car appear clean — but we’re after more than appearances.

We use tools like:
-
Air compressors to blast debris from hard-to-reach cracks and crevices
-
Steamers to lift gum, soda spills, stuck coins, and bacteria
-
High-end soaps and hand wash methods to safely clean your paint without causing scratches or swirls
-
Professional-grade products that protect your interior and extend the life of your vehicle’s surfaces
Car washes are fast and convenient — but they’re also harsh. They often use recycled water, aggressive brushes, and low-quality chemicals. You might get a free vacuum, but it won’t touch the layers of grime in your seats, vents, or carpets.

At JD’s Detail, we come to you, take our time, and treat your vehicle with the care it deserves. A quality detail doesn’t just make your car look good — it helps it last longer, stay protected, and feel like new again.
HOW CAN I BOOK MY APPOINTMENT?
You can call us, text us, or send a message on social media.
CAN YOU DETAIL MY CAR AT MY HOME, OFFICE OR APARTMENT?
Yes, we offer mobile detailing services and can come to your home or workplace, depending on location and if we have access to a water source to connect to and electrical outlet.
HOW LONG DOES CAR DETAILING USUALLY TAKE?
Depending on the size of the vehicle and condition, along with the package selected, it can take anywhere from 1 to 8 hours.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO WATER OR ELECTRICITY?
Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to complete your detail without these resources currently. We are in the process to getting a water tank and generator to be able have those resources to make our services even more convenient and faster. We plan to have this as soon as possible.
HOW IS DETAILING DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR CAR WASH?
A regular wash cleans the surface, while detailing includes thorough cleaning, polishing, and protective treatments for your paint, interior, wheels, and more.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY CAR DETAILED?
To keep your vehicle in top-tier condition, we recommend a monthly or bi-weekly detail, especially if your car is exposed to daily driving, pets, kids, or outdoor elements.
Our Maintenance Packages are designed to make this easy — and affordable. They save you nearly half the cost of a full detail while keeping your car consistently clean, protected, and showroom-ready.
Not ready for a regular program? At the very least, a full detail every 2-4 months is recommended to protect your interior, preserve your paint, and maintain your vehicle’s value. Your car takes care of you — let us help you take care of it.
